Fall is my absolute most favorite time of the year! Every flavor turns to Pumpkin Spice, football is on constantly, the oversized cozy comfy sweaters come out of hiding, and most importantly, it’s absolutely gorgeous as the leaves turn and fall all around.
I love to take advantage of this time of year for our fall family pictures. Mainly because I use these photos for our annual Christmas card, but the scenery is just gorgeous and the lighting always seems to be just right.
This year, Nathaniel and I held our shoot at a lovely estate in Mt. Vernon that is wide open with lots of land and beautiful trees all around. It was actually raining and so, so windy the day of our shoot, but I decided to just try our luck and pray that it wouldn’t rain during our pictures.
The pictures turned out beautifully, and surprisingly it didn’t seem too unbearably cold.
I went with a black, grey and maroon color scheme this year, as we did beige and neutrals last year. Picking out Nathaniel and I’s outfits is half of the fun for me! It is so exciting to mix and match colors and accessories to make sure that our looks are in sync.
IV Photography took the photos, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they turned out! Enjoy 🙂
