It seems like just yesterday that I was writing this post about last years fall pictures! I always take advantage of this time of year to grab a few updated shots of the three of us, and I love picking out which one will be used for our Christmas card photo!
This year, the leaves started turning kind of late here in Southern Indiana, but once they did, they were absolutely gorgeous! We decided to shoot this year in the Evansville State Park, which is surrounded by trees and beautiful colors everywhere. We were racing to beat the sunset, but the lighting ending up being perfect, and our photographer, Rachel Biggs, did an absolutely phenomenal job of capturing us perfectly!
The candid shots always end up being my favorite. Belle was being rather mischievous during the shoot and didn’t want to stay or sit still for anything. I’m so thankful for Rachel working her magic with us because we actually got a decent shot of everyone looking at the camera for our card photo! 😉
This year, I worn a basic cowl neck knit sweater from Vici Dolls [I’ll link something similar below]. It’s seriously so cozy and warm – I’ve already worn it a million times since the shoot! I paired it with my darkest blue jeans and my favorite pair of OTK boots from Goodnight Macaroon ( I also own these in all three colors because I love them so much!)
Nate wore his maroon and grey plaid button down, and a light grey half zip pullover from Polo Ralph Lauren. I’m always nervous about matching colors, especially in the natural light, but I felt that our colors went together perfectly this year!
Our 2018 Christmas card photo is one of my favorite photos ever taken of us, and I will definitely treasure it for years to come.. Here it is … !
And lastly, I just had to throw this one in for giggles and for a feel of what our entire night was like LOL!…
But seriously though, Rachel was amazing and I’d highly recommend her to anyone in the Southern Indiana area!
