First, let me start by saying… HOW IN THE WORLD DO I HAVE A ONE-YEAR-OLD?! Seriously, where has the time gone?! As much as I want time to slow down, I did have so much fun planning his first birthday party.
Obviously our family have been huge baseball fans for many years, so we knew from the start that a Rookie of the Year theme was the only way to go! Thankfully, between Amazon and Etsy, I had no trouble finding the cutest decor to complete his party. I wanted to do something fun for the kiddo’s who attended, so I contacted All Blown Up Rentals to get our bounce house/slide combo reserved a few months ahead of time. They had a promotion at the time for a discounted cotton candy machine, so we rented one of those as well to complete the “at the ballpark” theme.
I am so thankful for our family friends who lended and ran our very own hot dog cart complete with lemon shakeups! I also wanted to incorporate a Nacho Bar along with the cart for another food option! We popped fresh popcorn in a vintage popcorn machine, and had peanuts and other sweets at the cake table.

We wanted the cake table to serve at the “centerpiece” of the room, since most of other things at the party were located outside. We had the cake custom made and the balloon arch was provided by Evansville Balloon Company. Our cookies were custom made by The Whimsy Whisk and turned out so perfectly!

If I could change just one thing about the day, I wish the weather would have been better. It wasn’t supposed to rain, and then the forecast changed about two days before the party. It was a pretty dreary and chilly day, but that didn’t stop the little one’s from jumping and having so much fun!
